Bushido is a Japanese term describing a codified

Samurai way of life.  

The word Samurai means to serve.

A warrior serving the Emperor.

The violent existence of the Samurai was tempered

by wisdom and serenity.

Bushido is the code of moral principles which the

Samurai were required to observe.

In order to become a Samurai this code had to be

mastered.
